A Special St. Nicholas Day Celebration for Tereza!
St. Nicholas Day, known as "Mikuláš" in Slovak, is celebrated on December 6th. It is a day when children eagerly await the arrival of St. Nicholas. To help her feel a little closer to home, our school came together to create a magical St. Nicholas Day celebration for our incredible foreign exchange student, Tereza who is from Slovakia. After lunch, students were greeted in the hall by a beautifully decorated Christmas tree adorned with stockings—each one personalized with a student's name! Inside these stockings were sweet treats, reminiscent of the heartwarming traditions in Slovakia. As they made their way to the gym, sweet surprises awaited them—delicious cookies and cupcakes! It was a joyous celebration of friendship, cultural exchange, and the holiday spirit. A huge shoutout to all the teachers who organized this festive event!
