This is just a reminder: students are dismissed today and tomorrow at 2:10 PM. Parent teacher conferences are today and tomorrow from 3 PM until 7 PM. Please call the school to make an appointment. Also, there is no school for students on Friday.

This message is for Senior students and their parents/guardians. Lauren Turner from Rend Lake College will be here on Thursday, October 26th from 5pm to 6:30pm in the High School Media Center. Lauren is a financial aid specialist and will help students and parents understand the completion process of the Free Application for Financial Aid (FAFSA). The FAFSA is required for graduation. Other scholarship information will also be available. This is an important meeting to obtain financial aid information on the FASFA.

Mrs. Wilson's Intro to FACS has been learning about children age birth to 12. They have learned about social and emotional development. Also the different milestones children hit as they grow. Today the class did a fun Baby Name Speed Dating Activity. They now know how much thought goes into naming a baby?
Students and Staff K-12 came together to show their support for the community of Hamilton Co. Students donated $1.00 to wear a hat today. Donations will be sent the the family affected by this horrible tragedy. Our thoughts and prayers are with Hamilton County.

This Friday will be a hat day to raise money for the family of the student from McLeansboro who recently passed away. Any students wishing to participate may wear a hat all day long for $1.00.

Entrepreneurs Audrey Frey and Alexis Johnson gave their Food Truck Pitch to the sharks today. (aka Mr. Cross, Mrs. Cramer, Mrs. Kim and Mrs Schumm) All of the sharks were impressed with the flavors the Food Trucks had to offer as well as the dedication and hard work the entrepreneurs had put into their projects. Both entrepreneurs received "investors", experience and a really good grade for all their efforts.

A few scholar bowl team members represented Webber High School for the HiQ game show on WSIU television. The team competed against Johnston City and represented Webber High School well. This was the first time Webber had been invited to the program, we hope make it an annual event. Our segment will be aired on October 31st.
Accounting students learn about posting transactions to their General Journals, while playing Monopoly. A few lessons on using and investing funds wisely were learned as well.
