
Regional Cross Country Meet at West Frankfort: Seth finished 3rd, Rebekah finished 12th, Jeremiah finished 41st with a personal best time of 19:19, and Champ finished 90th. Seth and Rebekah qualified for Sectionals on Saturday, November 2nd at Benton. Rebekah will run at 10:00 and Seth will run at 11:00.





A little rain and cool temperatures won’t keep these athletes from running. Great day for the Regional CC meet at West Frankfort.

Results from the Benton cross country meet: Seth Hamerski was 4th with a personal best time of 15:38, Jeremiah Cramer was 97th with a personal best time of 19:33, Champ Suppawat finished 161st and Rebekah Marlow finished 18th. Seth and Rebekah earned t-shirts.





We have a short week with PT conferences on Thursday and MV conference on Friday, so let's make it a great one!


Due to a shortage of available bus drivers, we will have to run a double route during the afternoon of Friday, October 18. Ray's (blue bus) town route will be dismissed at 2:25 to board the bus. All other students will be dismissed at the normal time. However, students on Marla's (yellow route) will be held in the cafeteria until she returns from running the blue route. Students should be boarding the yellow route around 3:20.

All high school sports parents or others interested in helping with booster events are encouraged to attend a meeting on Monday, October 21 at 6:30 pm. The main topic of this meeting will be to plan “Blue & White Night” to meet the teams.


The HS Technical Inquiry class has been working on a Rube Goldberg challenge. Sometimes the best learning is through what went wrong so we can adjust. Shortly after this attempt, they were successful!

It is hard to believe that we are already at the point in the year in which we are celebrating senior night. Congrats girls!




JV match against Clay City is going to three. The senior girls are ready for a senior Recognition.

The October Board of Education meeting will be held on Thursday, October 17, at 4:45 p.m. in the high school media center.
