Drama Club will be presenting what they have been rehearsing during Theatre Camp this week tomorrow evening at 5pm! Time of performance was originally set for 5:30 pm, but we switched it due to it being a short performance, as well as it being on a Friday night. We hope you will enjoy the show in the elementary gym!

Just a reminder Freshmen Orientation for incoming freshmen for the 2024/2025 school year is Monday, April 22nd at 6:00 pm in the Webber High School Gym.
Please do not forget this week is K-3 Theatre Camp! If your child has returned a permission slip, don't forget to make sure they stay after school tomorrow-thròugh the rest of this week!
The sixth graders researched St. Patrick's Day. They used their new knowledge to make a children's book which they read to kindergarten and first graders.
Recently, the 6-8 ELA classes participated in the Elks Americanism Essay contest. Congratulations to these students that placed at the local or district level. Kylie and Ava composed essays that made it to the state level!
Kids Quest for today is cancelled.
Congratulations to Teiryn and Kylie! They both advanced to the King and Queen of the County solo tournament which was held last night.
Regional shirts that were scheduled to be done today will NOT be done until Monday, due to the size of the order. We will make a post when the shirts are done and ready to be picked up.
Monday is spring picture day for the grade school. We will also be taking pictures for the following sports/activities:

Some of our scholar bowl players competed in the King and Queen of the County Tournament today. Only the top 10 competitors advance to the next level. Two of our Trojans will be advancing. Congratulations to Kylie and Teiryn!
These three are the winners of our spelling bee today. Two of them will be representing our school at the county spelling bee later this month.
The High School Boys Basketball game vs Goreville at 6:00pm tonight will be streamed on Black Cats Network on YouTube.

Parents of 8th graders, please look for this note that was sent home today! We need to get going on our video for graduation!
On February 13th, a representative from Rend Lake College will meet during the day with high school seniors. This meeting is to help students understand the process of completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). This is a graduation requirement. Then, on February 15th at 6pm, the representative will be back to assist both students and parents in completing the application. Third graders in Mrs. Sherwin's class have been building weather station equipment like rain gauges, anemometers, and barometers during their recent weather unit.
Junior High Volleyball tryouts will be Tuesday, January 16th for students in grades 5-8 from 3:15pm until 5:00pm in the JH gym. There will then be practice on Wednesday (time to be announced) and on Thursday from 3:15pm-5:00pm.
