The Vet Science class put on a dog show today!
Today a few of our 3rd & 4th grade students participated in Brain Games at Donoho Prairie Church.
There is a girls JH VB Parents meeting Tues. Jan. 24 at 6:30 in the JH gym.
One parent at least per player is required to attend.

We have a change Webber Nation. Boys HS BB vs Goreville has been moved from Jan 27 to Feb 8, 5:30 our gym. This change was necessitated to accommodate them to watch their JH Girls at State.
April Flexter, BGS Reading Specialist, was a grant recipient from the Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce. Her students can look forward to more multi sensory activities when learning to read. Congratulations April! Thank you JCCC for supporting our teachers and students!
It is now official. Webber HS will be hosting the Girls HS BB Regional Feb.11-17,
AND Boys HS BB Regional Feb. 18-24.

Good grief, I feel like Ole Mother Hubbard. I have so many teams I don't know what to do, (actually I do ). Anywho, tonight's JH VB practice has been moved up to our HS to accommodate pee wee practice, which necessitated an earlier Girls HS BB practice, which became available with our Boys HS BB playing tonight.

Light Athletic week this week. Our HS Boys BB plays tonight at 6:00 in the MTC semifinals vs. top seeded COR at Woodlawn. They will play again Saturday either for Third and Fourth or Championship pending outcome of tonight.
On another front, our JH Bowlers started last night with tryouts. Tryouts will conclude Monday Jan. 23 from 4-6 at Nu Bowl Lanes in MV. Season starts Feb 1.
There will be no Kids Quest after school today, 1/19/2023.

8th grade night and final home game of the season for the Bluford-Farrington Trojans.
Due to a scheduling conflict the JH volleyball practice scheduled for Tuesday, January 17 has been cancelled. Practice will take place from 5:30-7:00 on Wednesday, January 18.
It was a BUSY day on the hardwood. K-1 started things off. They were followed by an 8-1 day by Bluford/Webber teams! Second grade won two against Wayne City. All of the 3-5 teams took down Rome. The HS girls fell to Meridian and the HS boys won the JV and V against Red Hill!
Congratulations to Raymond Andrews for advancing to the bowling sectional next weekend in Collinsville!
Saturday afternoon basketball is underway! The boys are taking on Red Hill.
The boys bowling team is in action today at the regional. It's a packed house with 16 teams!
The Farmer Frenzy Girls HS BB Tournament that Elverado was hosting next week is cancelled. Searching for a game or two for next week now.
On a brighter note, our HS Boys are 4 seed in the upcoming MTC Tournament hosted by Woodlawn. With the 4 seed brings a first round home game Jan 17. The game is vs Woodlawn (ironic isn't it) and starts at 7pm, in the friendly confines of Webber Gymnasium.
Just an attendance reminder: If your child will be absent, you must call the school by 9 am the day of the absence. Please call the grade school at 732-8242 or the high school at 732-6121. You can leave a voicemail if it is after hours.

JH Volleyball practice will be held Jan. 17 and 18 from 5:30 to 7:00 and tryouts will be Jan. 19 and 20 from 5:30 to 7:30.
