High School students attended the Academic Challenge (ACES) at Rend Lake College. All students worked super hard and represented Bluford well!

In case you missed it, and apparently some have, the pee wee games for Saturday Feb. 11, are at Bluford NOT St. Mary's. They had to switch it here on our good graces because they had a gym conflict. Anyone not sure of where to go or need help please call the school. Games are 9, 10, and 11 at Bluford. Saturday Feb. 11, 2023.
Tonight's boys HS BB game vs Goreville is at 6:15. There is no frosh game which was part of the original Friday scheduling with them.
Tomorrow night is Sr. Night for Girls HS BB. JV game starts at 6:15 with ceremony taking place immediately after that game,
Friday is Sr. Night for Boys HS BB. There is no JV game that night so the ceremony will start at 6:15 then the varsity game right after.
The Jefferson County JH BB all star teams were just announced. Congratulations to Kadi Bain and Jaxon Popplewell for great seasons and selection to the teams.
Fans wishing to witness this event first hand can go to Mt. Vernon High School on March 11, and watch the events. Girls game usually starts at 6:00 with boys after.
The Webber Girls HS BB Regional is now out. Webber plays Red Hill at Webber Saturday Feb 11, 6 :30. Webber will host the semifinal round Monday Feb. 13, 6 and 7:15, then the final Friday, Feb 17, 7:00.

The question of will he, won't he was answered quickly last night as Hunter Danberry DID. He needed 19 pts. to join our 1000 point club and got them all last night in the first half. The decisive points came on, get this, a 3 pointer from deep right corner. You heard right folks a 3. The 4th of his career, he averages one a year. Congrats Hunter Danberry and we proudly welcome you as our newest member of the club. Hunter and the boys are in action again tonight as we host NCOE and its also HOF Recognition Night. Join us for some fun.
Join us March 15th & 16th for Parent-Teacher Conferences and our Student Expo Night. Students in grades K-5 will have art on display and students in 6th-8th will be exhibiting their science/social studies project. We will also have free hot dogs and snow cones!
Bluford Pre-K is has an opening for a classroom paraprofessional. See the attachment for more information. Please note that this is a position that is employed by the Regional Office of Education.

Section 7. During all Regional and State contests the SIJHSAA prohibits the use of all types of noise-makers, confetti, radios, shakers, poms(unless used by cheerleaders), rally towels, thunder sticks, camera lights, laser lights, and also tripods in the stands. Signs must be no larger than a legal sized sheet of paper. (8 1/2 X 14) Body painting materials shall not be administered at games or containers brought on game sites. Body paint may be worn on arms and the face. Appropriate shirts must be worn to all events. Bands are limited to the National Anthem. They are not be be used to give a home game atmosphere nor to create noise or to rally the fans.

Our JH Bowlers had their season opener yesterday at Nu Bowl Lanes. The Varsity, lead by an incredible performance from Captain Ethan Thompson who bowled 241 and 218 games and averaged 198 on the day, won 1665 pins to 1478.
The girls team also had an opening day abbreviated victory 618 pins to 533. Captain Teiryn Andrews led the way with games of 141 and 148. Our keglers are in action again Mon. Feb 6 at Salem Bowl 3:30.
Weber Nation we have a reschedule to report. Our HS BB Boys will play a JV and Varsity game Thursday, Feb. 2 vs Elverado here at 6:00. Our girls have a conference game at Sandoval that night.
