With the heat come the cancelations. As you know all games for today are canceled. Practices for today, which could not start before 6pm by the Wet-bulb index we go by anyway have all been canceled as well. Expect more of this the rest of the week even though we are on a day-to-day basis. JH Baseball has gone ahead and beat the rush and canceled practices for the rest of the week, which I strongly suspect we will see more of. Stay tuned. JH CC however will move their practices indoors starting Wednesday and be ok.

Bob, Here is some info that our VB coach wanted me to pass along to you about our game here on 10/4. This year on 10/4, we will be hosting a fundraiser for a local family whose son is fighting leukemia. We will have tshirts available for purchase, a silent auction, and a bake sale. In the past, we have invited opposing teams to also participate in our fundraisers. There is no obligation at all, but if you would like to send tshirt order forms to your fans and donate to our silent auction or bake sale, we would welcome your contribution. If you are interested, let us know. Our coach will send over more detailed information. This is to me from South Central AD Blake Doehring. We will get more info on this which I will pass on.

ALL outdoor practices/events for this evening are cancelled. Update on Sports/Outdoor Activities Today: HS Baseball at Odin and JH Baseball/Softball at home are canceled. We will try to reschedule. Teams can still practice, however, outdoor practices cannot start before 6pm. Coaches will communicate on time or cancellation of practices. IHSA Policy has guidelines we have to follow and take extra precautions for heat for our student athletes.

JH BB and SB Here Tuesday and Thursday will now start at 6:30 not 4:30.....Unless that too changes. Still beats the Covid year when things changed every 3 or 4 days.

Attention High School Parents... if your child is taking a HS Physical Science, HS Chemistry or a HS Math class, they will need a scientific calculator. The TI-30X IIS is one of the most user friendly and costs about $10-19, but others will work too! It is important to have their own so that they can take them home for their homework, to use on tests and to be successful in their classwork.

Blake Doehring 2:13 PM (1 hour ago) to me Our baseball game is streamed on Facebook if you want to put that out there. Search “Catch TV Live Broadcasting” HS BB at South Central will be streamed live. The HS CC Meet at Marion Aug 29 begins at 5pm not 4;30 with the girls race.
