Good news sports fans, there will be athletics at Webber this year after all. Through collaberative efforts of the IHSA, IDPH, and ISBE, as well as just recent SIJHSAA guidlines are out for us to have a successful sports year. Rest assured I am staying abreast of all the safety guidlines and have shared those with coaches. We will continue to conduct everything we do in a safe manor and continue our preparations for a strong, competetive athletic year. Parents please continue to support and encourage our student/athletes to be part of workouts as we prepare to represent Bluford. Go Trojans, Jr. Trojans, and Trojanettes(???)!
Due to wet conditions the junior high softball open field scheduled for tonight is cancelled.
We have received many inquiries about masks. Since a face covering will be required by all students and staff, the district will be providing two cloth masks for everyone. We will collect and launder masks daily for students in grades K-5. We also have a stock of disposable masks. If a student finds a face covering that is more comfortable for them, they may bring their own.
This goes back a while. "Bluford" High School is featured in this months Basketball Museum of Illinois magazine.
