Parents: As we begin our fall sports season today, we are asking for your help. Ensuring proper distance at ball games between households will be crucial in being able to continue with the season. Last week marked the end of our summer meal program. From May 28 through August 14, the district served a total of 25, 228 meals to children from throughout the district! A special thank you to the cafeteria staff who worked throughout the summer to make this possible.

Regular school dismissal will be 3:10 pm. Car rider pick up will be similar to last year in that you will enter from Chestnut Street (around the curve). One difference is that we are going to have two lanes of traffic. Those picking up students in grades K-2 will be the inside lane which will be closest to the school. K-2 students will be coming out the doors on the west end of the building, so you will stop at the sidewalk by the corner of the building. Those picking up students in grades 3-5 will use the outside lane. Students in grade 3-5 will be walked out the front entrance by the elementary gym that we have used in the past. These lanes of traffic will will continue down the front of the building. There will be a staff member outside directing traffic. If you have a child in grades 6-8, please park in the lot closest to the grade school office and those students will make their way out to the car. Those picking up high school students should park in the angled parking in front of the high school entrance. If you have multiple grade levels to pick up, get in the line of the youngest child and please tell a staff member so they can direct you where to go next. Please be patient with the process as we adjust and work keep the kids safe through the dismissal process.

Tomorrow is the big day! Please remember student arrival is 7:50 am. If you are dropping off students in grades K-4, let them out at the front entrance at the west end of the building by the elementary gymnasium. Students in grades 5-8 who are being dropped off in the morning should enter at the main entrance by the grade school office. High school students should be let out at the main entrance of the high school. We can't wait to see you all!

Attention high school boys. We are seeking all boys interested in playing baseball. Americas favorite Pastime needs you! Without enough players we may not be able to have a fall season. Please come to practice Monday Aug. 17, 6:00.
Teachers and bus drivers trained on the disinfectant sprayers this. Anytime a group of students exits a space, it will be disinfected to keep all safe.
As we are about to begin a new school year, we have no idea what the future may hold. We have very strategic plans in place to limit they amount of contact any child will have with another. Parents, rest assured as your children would most likely be exposed to more people in a grocery than throughout the day at school. All of this is to help ensure proper social distancing. As we begin Monday, we hope our plan will allow our students to attend in person because feel that is vitally important for children. However, if at some point we are forced to shift to remote learning, we are much better prepared than last time. At the opening staff meeting, I shared a new moto with the staff for the year, #herewego. We don't know what the future holds but, #herewego. We need all interested players to see if we will have enough players for team.
Residents should be receiving tax bills this week. As such the district sent this flier explaining the property tax grant the district received. Residents will see the district's portion of their tax bill decrease for 2020 and 2021. Bills should return to normal in 2022.
Due to upcoming bad weather Jr. High Softball tryouts scheduled for today, Aug.12, and tomorrow, Aug. 13 have been postponed until Monday, Aug. 17 from 3 to 5, and Tuesday, Aug.18 from 3 to 5.
GS Softball Tryouts - rescheduled to Monday, August 17th and Tuesday, August 18th from 3-5 pm.
Today is our last food distribution for the summer. We look forward to seeing you one more time for pick up at 11. We are even more excited to have our kiddos back in attendance next Monday!!

Boys high school baseball tryouts will be held Thursday, August 13 at 6 30. Any boy entering freshman to seniors should plan to attend.
We will have a school supply drop off for grades K-5 as follows:
Kindergarten- arranged by K teachers
Grades 2, 4, 5- Thursday, August 13, 4:00 - 5:00
Grades 1, 3- Friday, August 14, 4:00 - 5:00
(These are split in order to limit the number of people in the building.)
Junior high and high school can bring their supplies in their book bag on the first day of school.
A face covering is required for anyone in the building.
Junior high softball tryouts will be Wednesday and Thursday of this week from 5:00 - 7:00. All girls entering grades 4-8 are welcome to try out.
