2nd Grade has been talking all about change in our reading curriculum! Students have been working to identify details from a text in order to write an informative paragraph. Together we found details, made a topic sentence, and conclusion sentence to form our paragraph. Students first recognized the changes in fall. Then students got to have some fun by painting a fall tree as it changes colors! 🍁
This week we read “A color of his own.” Students found that the chameleon wanted a color of his own, but after meeting a friend, he changed his mind! We used watercolor to paint our own chameleons!
Students were proud of their work and are displaying them in the hallway!

8th grade cross country runners were recognized on Saturday before the Bluford Bash.

This week in science, our middle schoolers became young scientists!
Students explored how acidic drinks can affect calcium in an eggshell and then tested how toothpaste provides protection with the help of fluoride. Along the way, they made connections to everyday dental health, practiced important lab safety skills, and learned how to identify and test variables in their experiments.

Fifth grade students created Jello cell models today as part of their science unit on plant and animal cell structures.

Boil water is in effect. Please send your student with a bottle of water please.
