Second grade is into O-G for phonics instruction. Our multi-sensory approach immerses different learners into the process. Students were participating in the 3 part drill with sand to hear and spell the sound and the blending board which prepares them for syllabication.

Reminder: On Friday, September 4, we dismiss at 11:30 and there is no school on Monday, September 7, in observance of Labor Day.

It is disheartening that we must share this reminder every school year. When you see a bus with red flashing lights and an octagon sign labeled, STOP, that is exactly what you should do. The Jeff Co. Sheriff's Dept. is very cooperative the our photographic evidence when vehicles choose to run a stop sign. Two vehicles were turned over today.

Parents: We have very specific seating charts on buses to limit student contact. For that reason, we unfortunately cannot allow students to ride home with other students on a different bus. If you have certain situations, please call the office prior to sending a note with a change in busing.
