Jaxon was nominated as a player of the week nominee for his his success in two races last week. He was the winner of the West Frankfort Redbird Invite with a time of 16:03 on Thursday, followed by placing 31st out of 641 runners on Saturday at the First to the Finish Invite in Peoria, Illinois. This placing earned him a medal.

Just a reminder: Picture day is Friday. Pictures can be ordered online using the appropriate school code or by returning a completed order form with payment on or before the day of the pictures. Fall sports pictures will also be taken on Friday. (Players and coaches have been previously made aware of this.) For those of you attending our JH BB/SB Thursday vs New Hope, the boys play at Leo French Fields by the cemetery and the girls play at Southwest Park behind police station.
The structural spray on the track is being applied. From here the next step is to seed the entire area and paint the lines!

Peoria FTTF Results:
What a great experience for these Trojans and Lady Trojans! Great races across the board. The trip was capped off by Sophomore Jaxon Dalby coming home with a medal! Freshman Nathaniel Marlow, Brennan Tate, James Gentry and Axtyn Sherlock all had great races as well! The Dalby-Marlow combo makes its case for one of the best young duo's in all of 1A state this season with both being top 5 in the race as sophomore and freshman!
On the girls side, Savanna Hulbert continues her PR streak with a new 3 mile course PR! What a senior season she is having! Alexis Johnson, Chloe King, and Anna Frey all have great races as well, King and Frey after playing and winning their conference game against Red Hill on Friday night for Volleyball!

School pictures are Friday Sept. 16. Fall sports pictures will be taken that day at 2:30. Those sports include HS Cross Country, Volleyball, and Baseball; JH baseball, softball and cross country. Coaches have been previously notified to be here from my bulk text messaging.
Bluford/Farrington Nation, our JH BB/SB game Sept. 16 vs. Field has been moved back to Field school now so they can have an 8th Grade Night. Remember, we had originally allowed them to have their home game here so they could play on turf cause, well, that's just the kind people we are here in Bluford. Now its back to their yard.
