The Bluford Board of Education held its regular January Board Meeting on Thursday, January 23, 2025 at 6PM. The following items were discussed and action taken.
1. Approval of the Minutes for the December 19, 2024 Tax Levy Hearings for the Grade School, High School, and Unit Districts; Approval of the Minutes for the December 19, 2024 Regular Board of Education Meeting; Approval of Executive Session Minutes from December 19, 2024 to remain confidential; Approval of Bills for January 2024; Approval of Financial Reports for December 2024; Approval of Suspensions Imposed by Building Administrators for December 2024;
2. Superintendent's report included information about the strategic planning process and also thanked the custodians for their hard work during the snow days. Principals and Maintenance reports were given.
3. FOIA Request - Illinois Retired Teachers Association - Retirees
4. Approval of the District Cardiac Response Plan
5. Approval of the 2025 Graduation Dates - Saturday, May 17 - Grade School at 9:30AM and High School at 11AM
6. Approval of the National Beta Club Convention in Springfield, IL on March 6-7, 2025
