WHS

Students first occupied the building in August 2019.  Project funding from the State of Illinois Capital Development Board totaled 67.9%, with the remaining portion funded locally through the sale of bonds.  The 32,100 square foot addition has a total projected cost of approximately, $6,895,210.  It includes six new classrooms. There are rooms for all of the core subjects (English, mathematics, science, social studies) in addition to a state of the art computer lab and an Agriculture classroom with shop.  There is a new media center, which features unique learning spaces for students.  Another feature is a new gymnasium with 1042 seats, which allows Webber High School to host IHSA post season events.  The gym features the capability to have two full court basketball floors running simultaneously.  This allows practices to be scheduled in a manner which will get kids home earlier.  Adjacent from the new office space is an impressive entry foyer, which will give high school students a space to congregate before and after school.  This is a project which will serve as a source of pride for the community for many years to come.
